prophet Zechariah and he said to himself: "How beautiful if I have
children like this. And no longer wait as he raised his hands in prayer and
said:
رَبِّ هَبْ لِي مِنْ لَدُنْكَ
ذُرِّيَّةً طَيِّبَةً إِنَّكَ سَمِيعُ الدُّعَاءِ
ROBBI HABLII MIN LADUNKA
DZURRIYYATAN THOYYIBATAN INNAKA SAMII'UD DU'AAI
that is to say :
Our God, grant us, our wives
and our offspring as delight liver (us),
and make us priests to those who fear Allah. (Al-Furqan: 74).
Then when he was praying at
the Mihrab, the divine angel Gives Good Tidings him that God will grant thee a
son named Yahya that would be great, sacred and prophet.
With not believe the prophet
Zechariah said: O my God, how can I have a son while I have a very old and even
my wife is barren?
Answered: "Thus, God do
He wills".
2. mentioned in the
beginning of Surah Maryam: Remember the grace of Allah to the prophet
Zechariah, when he prayed to his God in a low voice and said :
رَبِّ إِنِّي وَهَنَ العَظْمُ
مِنِّي وَاشْتَعَلَ الرَّأْسُ شَيْباً وَلَمْ أَكُنْ بِدُعائِكَ رَبِّ شَقِيّاً * وَإِنِّي
خِفْتُ المَوالِيَ مِنْ وَرائِي وَكانَتِ امْرَأَتِي عاقِراً فَهَبْ لِي مِنْ لَدُنْكَ
وَلِيّاً * يَرِثُنِي وَيَرِثُ مِنْ آلِ يَعْقُوبَ وَاجْعَلْهُ رَبِّ رَضِيّاً
that is to say :
My God, my bones are
weakened and with my head was covered white hair, and I've never been
disappointed in praying to thee, O God. And indeed I was worried about mawaliku
after me, while my wife is barren, so give me from You a son, who will inherit
me and inherit the family sebahagian Ya'qub; and make he, my God, people that
in blessed.
Audible invocation from the Allah:
"Hi Zechariah, indeed give you good tidings will (receive) a child whose
name is Yahya, who previously We have never created people who are similar to
him".
Prophet Zechariah said:
"O my God, how can I have child, when my wife barren?"
Answered: "it is easy
for Me; and indeed I created you before, when you (at that time) did not exist
at all ".
God bestowed Yahya to the prophets
Zechariah with a bring book and wisdom.
3. In the letter al-Anbiya
'[21], in order to mention the story of the prophets and life and servitude to
them, when it comes to the Zechariah God says: "And (remember story) Zechariah,
when he call on his God.
رَبِّ لاَتَذَرْنِىْ فَرْدًا
وَأَنْتَ خَيْرُالْوَارِثِيْنَ
that is to say :
O my God! do me let own
(with not leave zuriat) and You are nevertheless the best of inheriting
Then God says:
God says: " So We answered his prayer, and We gave
him Yahya and made his wife could contain. actually they are the ones who always
hasten in (doing) good deeds and they pray to Us with hope & fear. And they
are the ones who are devout to Us ".
